
Jennifer Chong is a Program and Management Analyst for the Office of Policy & Planning at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She is responsible for creating the strategic plan of the agency that outlines a five-year strategy for securing the United States' border against terrorists and terrorist weapons while effectively and efficiently facilitating trade and travel. The publication of the strategic plan is delivered to the Department, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the members of Congress. Prior to her current position, Jennifer was a Budget Analyst for the Office of Finance at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security where she reviewed, verified and consolidated information and statistical data needed to formulate and present CBP’s $6.5 billion budget request to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office and Management and Budget (OMB), and the United States Congress.
Jennifer received her BA with honors in Political Science and Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles and MPA from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. While at UCLA, she was Executive Director of KASCON XVI in Los Angeles.
