
Sandor Hau is a Managing Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and is the portfolio manager and head of the capital structure arbitrage group for the Americas within Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies (GSPS). Previously, he managed the Principal Finance business for GSPS in the United States. Prior to that, he worked in GSPS as a generalist, investing in private equity, public equity and credit. Earlier in his career, Sandor worked in the Asian Special Situations Group in Hong Kong and the Bank Loan Group in New York. Sandor joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 as an analyst in the Leveraged Finance Group within the Investment Banking Division. In addition, Sandor was a co-founder of an internet marketing services company based in Silicon Valley.
Sandor serves on the boards of the Korean American Family Service Center and the Mirae Foundation. He is also a term member on the Council on Foreign Relations, a NetKal fellow and an active alumni mentor for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity.
Sandor earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was also a Rotary Scholar at Yonsei University in Korea.
